25,000 automotive dealers and vendors will meet in New Orleans beginning today for the annual convention of the National Automotive Dealers Association.

The association represents more than 19,700 new car and truck dealers in the United States and abroad, according to the association's Web site.

The four-day meeting, which ends Wednesday, will be the largest conference held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center-New Orleans so far this year, taking up nine halls, both ballrooms, the auditorium and several meeting rooms.

Among the people scheduled to speak are Tom Alan Mulally, president and chief executive officer of Ford Motor Co. and former Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
